My wife forced me to take her to look at garage sales Saturday. After three hours into it I came across a box of 380 brass cased 54r rounds on stripper clips for $15.00. I also got 10 boxes of 50 federal 22lr for 50 cents a box. The lady said they belonged to her ex and she had no use for them and didn't even know what they were for. 20 bucks well spent.

Nice -- those are probably Berdan primed, but in a brass case it's not (impossibly) difficult to convert the cases to use Boxer large rifle primers. You might also be able to buy Berdan primers the correct size (but check; all the steel case surplus I have uses a Berdan primer larger than any I've seen available in the US); it's less work to deprime Berdan once than to convert it, but if you expect/plan to use the brass to its working life (potentially dozens of loadings, if you neck resize and anneal as needed) it'll certainly save effort and expense over that time to convert the brass). At the least, don't toss that brass as you shoot up the rounds; someone will want it...

I always save all my brass. If I don't reuse it there is always someone that will.

Whats the headstamp on those? I bet the brass says NNY.
But they could be PPU brass which is boxer. Smile Anyways, NICE day out! lol

It is surplus.  there is an 85 at the top and a 3 at the bottom.  I assumed it was Albanian but I could be wrong.  The stripper clips appear new but feels like the cheaper Chinese ones.
