Well, I set up a target.

I lined up on the target.

I squeezed the trigger, kept squeezing....

Eventually bang.

Sweet jesus, what a long pull.

Anyway bottom line, fired 5 rounds missed every one. idk

Range 50m, sights on a standard Mosin 100m, every round hit high above the target.
Mind you I was aiming at a 5" target.

But, as every cloud has a silver lining, the sight seem fine, just I was aiming too high and shooting over the target.

The stock feels great, nicely absorbs the recoil, and barrel harmonics appear to be fine.
But I'll know more, as I shoot more.

Bottom line, I'm happy with todays shooting.

Little steps, little steps Cool

You me both.

If it's not too far out you can fix it with the front sight, but there's only so much you can do with the front sight.

Would have been nicer if I'd actually hit the target though, but at least I know why.

But, I think a trip down the the club, and shooting from shooting from the bench will confirm the sights.

I forgot to mention what I was shooting. 182gr Prvi Partizan Matchline.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

When I've shot these I'll start handloading, with 174gr Sierra Matchkings, Vectan Tubal5000 powder & CCI Benchrest primers

Well according to my burn rate chart, it's translates to Vihtavuori N150 or Hodgdon H4350, Accurate 4350 & Alliant Reloder 17.

I believe Vectan is made by Nobel Sport.
Vihtavuori N140 or N150 are my preferred choices, but I said earlier Vihtavuori powders are not alway available.

I can get Vhitavuori powders in Luxembourg, but it means driving across the country and into another country, to buy powder.
Not to mention the ridiculous paperwork I'd have to file before hand.
