PostSubject: MN Receiver & barrel   Thu Sep 03, 2015 10:19 pm

Looking for Hex receiver. Does anyone have one they would part with by trade or sale?

Also looking for a barrel that is for a 91/30.

Any lead on locating either would be appreciated. I have looked at all the obvious sites. buysurplus, gunbroker and any other site that pulled up in the search for receivers. Thanks

That would be awesome Silvertip!! I'd take a couple if the price is right and availability of the barrels. M44 barrels would work too.

I am thinking I need to find a high wall round receiver also. I have just a few ideas in mind.

Thanks  party party

How is the availability of MN in everyone's local area? I went to 10 shops and found only 1 MN. I was told it was because of the tension between US and Russia. Any truth in that? Won't doubt it with our current Gov't leadership

I dug out all the barrels I had, but they have all been modified or cut on. None are stock Neutral

Lots of mosins in my area. Usually there are only certain shops that will carry them around me. And those that do, will usually have atleast 20 on the floor.

Must be nice to have a selection of MN to choose from...

What are the barrels modded to? any 7.62x54R improved?

I was watching your videos on the improved and also the 7mm. The 7mm looks awesome!!
I looked on PTG's site for the reamer for the 54r improved and it wasn't there unless I just missed it. only the 7.62x54r reamer; unless that is the improved. Is it a special order item?

Thanks for looking!!

You'll have to call them for the improved reamer. Just tell them the print number. 50771

Its not a custom order item anymore. Should be under $150 to order one. They just dont have it listed on their site yet.

Ya, im ready to start cutting the barrel for the 7mm. Very Happy  Super excited.

I cannot see the data you collect in the comparison between the 7mm, 7.62x54r, & 7.62x54r improved. That is if you do a comparison.

When ordering the reamer what type of finish is it? Resizer, rougher or finisher? Or does it only come in one type? I ask for the other reamers had those options when I was looking at them. Thanks
