This is a barrel from my first Mosin. A 1944 carbine. As of the photos, this barrel hasnt been shot in 3yrs.
I added some labels to help distinguish some details.

Dang dude! That's a worn out dark bore on that thing. I know my M44 is dark too, so now I'm wondering if it looks the same. :-/

Out of all my Mosins my M44 is the least accurate too. :-(

Are you replacing that barrel with a new one or something?

Its an old barrel I had layin around. Alot of the darkness is actually bluing. Especially in the chamber. I brushed on some bluing stripper and cleaned alot of it away.

Ahhhh....So bluing stripper also leaves a bluing color behind huh?
